The SF55/SF70 are both thermally broken systems constructed from aluminium extrusion. The SF55 has been designed to revolutionise the future of the folding sliding door market with its slim 55mm profile and unrivaled patented thermal break making it the most thermally efficient, secure and reliable system on the market. The SF70 is a well established long term market leader which has set the benchmark in folding sliding door design and innovation renown for its long term security, reliability and durability it is a system with qualities that are impossible to beat. Both systems exceed current building regulations and are likely to exceed any other stringent changes in the future.
APPEARANCE
Standard colours offer silver anodised or polyester powder coated White RAL 9016. Other colours from the RAL range and a marine environment finish (for doors within 5000m of a shoreline) are also available. All systems
can also be supplied with a dual finish, for example White RAL 9016 internally and Silver RAL 9006 externally.
All ironmongery is manufactured from cast alloy and specially designed to complement the door system and allow the panels to stack flat when fully opened. Handles are supplied in the standard colour range of Black RAL 9011, White RAL 9016 or Silver RAL 9006 or available in any RAL by special request. Gaskets are available in Black only.
PROFILE
On both systems the profile is constructed from a strong aluminium extrusion which is thermally broken with a polyamide insulation bar. The framework is assembled with patented moulded corner blocks and machine mitered panels at the corners rather than the cheaper butt jointed alternatives. Each panel is connected to he other with a minimum of three slim line hinges within the gasket lines ensuring slim, clean profiles and a continuous weather tight seal.

Both systems are available with two choices of track, the standard weathered track for a severe weather rated system or for added convenience, safety and compliance with Doc M of the building regulations for disabled access an aluminium flush track which can be recessed into the floor.
Partial Opening Feature - SF70 Only:
A unique feature with the SF70 system is that the shoot bolts can be locked into a second position on the tracks allowing a partial opening for ventilation whilst leaving the doors locked.
For improved security all folding sliding door systems are internally glazed as standard with centre secured locking hinge pins and interlocking panels as well as the below security features;
Shoot Bolts:
A high level of security is provided as standard, with a quick, smooth and easy operation. Incorporated into the frame profiles at each intermediate panel a three point shoot bolt mechanism is operated with a flush internal handle. When operated the doors become compressed tight against the weather seals providing a severe weather tight system.
Five-Lever Key Locking Cylinder Incorporated Within The Profile:
A five-lever Euro profile key lock and handles are integrated into the existing profile ensuring all sightliness remain symmetrical. Fitted to the end lead door or single pass door where there are an odd number of panels, or to the first opening pair in an even number of panels. These can be fitted to either to the inside only or both inside and outside as required, meeting with the Association of British Insurers.
Internally glazed and locking hinge pins:
For improved security all Sunflex folding sliding doors are internally glazed as standard, with external centre secured locking pins and interlocking gaskets.
Added Security:
Additional security options such as mortice locks and extra cylinders are available.
TRACK OPTIONS
The Weathered Track For Severe Conditions:
A severe weather rated system is achieved with the weathered track option providing a perimeter triple-rebate seal. (The system achieves DIN 18055, Category C performance for wind loading and water leakage)
The Flush Track:
The bottom seal between the door and the flush track is via double nylon brush piles separated by a twin fin seal, giving an effective seal. We recommend that some form of sunken drainage and slope away from the doors is integrated with this option.
Gasket Seals - Finger Safe Cushion Gaskets:
The double gasket seals between the door panels are continuous and made of superior quality, consisting of long lasting APTK internally and interlocking EPDM gaskets externally. An added quality of these bubble gaskets is that they are finger safe and child friendly, providing a cushion to minimise the effect if fingers were to be trapped. These gaskets have been cleverly designed to interlock when the panels are closed ensuring maximum weatherproofing, added security and no draughts or rattles when the doors are closed.
The SF55 combines both bottom and top running gears designed to equally spread the load of the panels and be completely fitter friendly enabling simple adjustments to be made with the use of an allen key. The SF70 is available in a bottom running system only which provides an advantage over a top running system should there be a risk of any structural movement or deflection above the doors. This track option will eliminate the risk of doors snagging or becoming difficult to open.
With either operating system the aluminium running carriage consists of four wheels, manufactured from tough glass fibre reinforced polyamide, set around a maintenance free sealed bearing. Each carriage has self lubricating collars to provide a smooth, quiet operation and can effortlessly carry up to 200kg.
GLAZING
All panels are supplied as standard - factory glazed to a high specification, comprising of 4mm clear toughened Low E soft coat glass to the inner pane - 20mm cavity - 4mm clear toughened glass outer pane to exceed building regulations for safety BS6262 and thermal efficiency. Guidance will be provided should you be unclear on your requirements.
Tickle vents of either 4000mm2 or 8000mm2 can be incorporated with the addition of a 40mm add on head profile which can be colour coded to suit.
DESIGN OPTIONS
Amongst many other options we can customise our folding sliding door systems with mid rails, mullions, plant on bars, dummy spacer grids, arched heads, deeper top and bottom profiles and solid infill panels.
Park Farm design also manufacture and supply additional bespoke joinery items such as sub cills and cover trims to your specific design requirements.
