Aluminium and timber composite, Alu-clad or 'Alu-wood', windows and doors offer a maintenance free alternative to the all timber window, without loosing the warmth and beauty of the timber on the inside.  The aluminium cladding on the external face of a traditional window serves purpose of increasing user comfort and expanding the life span of the window.  Our Scandinavian AS system uses powder coated aluminium profiles - the surface of such profile lasts successfully even in tough environments.  Aluminium cladding gives a modern impression on the external side.

With the internal of the glazing rebate being timber, the system is naturally insulated and there is no need for a thermal break (which would normally be required for aluminium frames). When combined together with high performance double or triple glazed units outstanding U-values and acoustics can be achieved.
